Batumi beach
Eight kilometres of pebbles right in the city: leave your apartment and you're at the water in five minutes.
Batumi's main beach runs the whole length of the boulevard, so 'going to the sea' here is a stroll, not a trip. Pebbles mean the water stays clear even at peak season — swim shoes make getting in comfortable. Umbrellas, loungers and changing cabins line the entire stretch.
Different sections have different characters: busier near the port, calmer and roomier towards the new boulevard. For sunset, take the rocks by the Ali & Nino statue.
