Mtirala jeep tour
Georgia's rainiest place — and its greenest: UNESCO-listed Colchic rainforest, hanging bridges and a swim in an ice-cold mountain river.
Asphalt ends at the park gate; then comes the part you take a jeep for — a rocky track along the Chakvistsqali river, spray under the wheels and a forest where ferns stand taller than people. At Tsablnari waterfall a clear plunge pool waits at the end of a trail with a hanging bridge.
The walk itself is easy (about 3 km) but you'll want grippy shoes. After the trek our partner lays out a riverside picnic — Adjarian cheese, bread from the oven, homemade wine.
